problem with small cyrillic yo
Hi all! I've noticed that some documents lacks small cyrillic letter yo (ё) when typeset with input files in utf encoding. It's encoded as \cyrillicyo everywhere but as \cyrillicio in uni-0004 (line 100). I've changed this and didn't noticed problems so far. Maybe these files are autogenerated somehow, so please fix this where appropriate. BTW capital yo is coded as \cyrillicYO everywhere and typesets right. -- Best regards Oleg

unic-004.tex is not autogenerated (so it needs to be fixed), some other files are.
BTW capital yo is coded as \cyrillicYO everywhere and typesets right.
I have no idea which name is a more accurate one, but if "yo" is more accurate than "io", then yes: the change has to be done in uni-004.tex. You're welcome to check all the other names in char-def.lua and unic-004.tex. Mojca

char-def.lua has indeed 'cyrillicyo' as the ConTeXt name, and "yo" is also preferred in all the LaTeX encodings (T2* etc.). "io" seems to be a confusion with the Unicode name ("CYRILLIC CAPITAL / SMALL LETTER IO"). Arthur
This is probably my fault. If I remember right I wrote the entries in
that file a time ago when I needed a cyrillic text. Never tested it
out fully, and by the time I wrote it I was in a hurry. It is good if
a native "cyrillic-letter-writing" person goes through it.

Attached a patch to unic-004. I've not found other problems with with encodings so far. But I'm typesetting only russian documents. Don't sure exactly how other cyrillic letters should look like. -- Best regards Oleg
