Where can I find a comprehensive specification of the TaBlE module? My problem is that I want a paragraph environment in a column, but that doesn't seem to exist/work. In tabulate you can use 'p' in the template, and table doesn't complain when you use it but doesn't obide by it either. Am I missing something, for \starttable[|l|l|] \NC Something \NC Long description ... \NC\AR \stoptable makes for a very wide table (that goes off the paper). nikolai -- ::: name: Nikolai Weibull :: aliases: pcp / lone-star / aka ::: ::: born: Chicago, IL USA :: loc atm: Gothenburg, Sweden ::: ::: page: www.pcppopper.org :: fun atm: gf,lps,ruby,lisp,war3 ::: main(){printf(&linux["\021%six\012\0"],(linux)["have"]+"fun"-97);}

You need the printed manual for the TaBlE package, which will
suggest something alone the lines:
\starttable[|l|lp(120pt)|]
\NC Something \NC Long description ... \input tufte \NC\AR
\stoptable

Hm, and this manual has to be ordered? No downloads?
\starttable[|l|lp(120pt)|] \NC Something \NC Long description ... \input tufte \NC\AR \stoptable
Great. One problem however, what if you wan't all space not consumed by the previous columns? Too much to ask? nikolai -- ::: name: Nikolai Weibull :: aliases: pcp / lone-star / aka ::: ::: born: Chicago, IL USA :: loc atm: Gothenburg, Sweden ::: ::: page: www.pcppopper.org :: fun atm: gf,lps,ruby,lisp,war3 ::: main(){printf(&linux["\021%six\012\0"],(linux)["have"]+"fun"-97);}

Yes, AFAIK: http://www.pctex.com/additional.html#tablemacro

Too much to ask me.

No, and it's really expensive. (Sort of dongle for the TaBlE package...) see http://www.pctex.com/ Gilbert van den Dobbelsteen wrote 1998:
The TaBLe manual is sold seperately by PC-TEX. It is quiet expensive and also comes with the TaBLe package itself.
The complete package costs $69
Since I use the table macros very often, I bought it, it costed me $69 plus $20 shipping. It's a good manual with lots of examples, which aren't very abvious if you just read the source-file table.tex
There's a promotion at the moment! See http://shop.store.yahoo.com/pctex/maclimprom.html Grüßlis vom Hraban! -- http://www.fiee.net/texnique/
Hi nicolai, AFAIK there is no paragraph mechanism in de TaBlE environment. You might want to try the bTABLE eTABLE environment. Kind regards Willi Nikolai Weibull wrote:
