Dear cabal, I have uploaded an updated version of the ConTeXt-support package for Notepad++ (Npp): http://wiki.contextgarden.net/Image:Npp_ConTeXt.zip For details, see the Readme as well as http://archive.contextgarden.net/message/20070813.050137.7a5796f0.en.html There are lots of small improvements. One nice feature is that from any text selection (such as a control sequence) you may do a ConTeXt Wiki search from the RUN menu or ALT-F2. In addition there is Google and Wikipedia search. Also, I have included the wonderful Explorer plugin. Most of the Scite ConTeXt commands are included (same shortcuts), in both RUN and script versions (for the console F6). Npp is one of the most powerful and useful text editors around. For windows users (you can also use it under wine) wanting a more modern interface with loads of included features (see especially the TextFX menu), it deserves a close look. I hope that someone will wikify this under the Text-Editor page. Enjoy! Thanks! I'm trying to make it work with my np++ installation without losing my tweaks & configurations, so I've been manually merging config files rather than copying—but I seem not to have access to a few features. Actually, all I can tell is that I have ConTeXt-aware syntax highlighting. Auto-completion doesn't work either. Basically, I need to know what parts of the distribution do what. For example:

How does that get enabled?

I can get a console with F6; can you give an example of what to do with it? --Joel
Hi,
I uploaded a new package just now; just a couple of minor tweaks.

I understand, though in my experience it's quite error prone... In your kind of case I usually backup my C:\Documents and Settings\<user>\Application Data\Notepad++ directory and just start fresh.

What about folding? There's an example file in the ConTeXt zip. The context api is in the Program_Files zip. CTRL-SPACE activates it while typing, or else go to Settings-Preferences-Backup/AutoCompletion to make it automatic.

You need shortcuts.xml. You can mix and match with your old one. See the readme also. A nice little trick lies in Plugins-ConvertExt-Options: Bracket Auto Completion.

It's basically there to run multiline scripts. Install the new Program_Files zip (just uploaded), close and reopen, and press F6 for an example. The RUN commands are static, but with the console you can experiment with different settings, options, etc. It's one of my favorite utilities, actually. I use it much more than I use RUN.
