Hi: I know that some people are using ConTeXt with Omega. What's the benefit to using Omega instead of a native ConTeXt module? Is it better to develop ConTeXt's language handling capablilities (as with the Chinese package) or use Omega OTPs? Thanks, Matt

it depends on what you want to achieve, so: what do you have in mind? [omega is *not* a multi lingual system, it's a 32 bit tex, with a preprocessor (otp) and multidirectional typesetting; there's nothing really new in terms of primitives related to languages, for instance there is no \chinesenumeral (which is why i had to define it myself)] Hans ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hans Hagen | PRAGMA ADE | pragma@wxs.nl Ridderstraat 27 | 8061 GH Hasselt | The Netherlands tel: +31 (0)38 477 53 69 | fax: +31 (0)38 477 53 74 | www.pragma-ade.com ------------------------------------------------------------------------- information: http://www.pragma-ade.com/roadmap.pdf documentation: http://www.pragma-ade.com/showcase.pdf -------------------------------------------------------------------------
