announcement: new texlive rpm
Hello, there is a new texlive rpm on http://pmrb.free.fr/texlive/ Goals and features of this package: - easy installation ( rpmbuild --rebuild --force http://pmrb.free.fr/texlive/texlive.spm ) - easy maintenance of ConTeXt-texmf tree ( updateConTeXt.sh ) - texmf-local tree that won't be touched by rpm (for personal files) - support for URW Garamond - support for Adobe eurofont - support for ruby versions of ConTeXt scripts - latest TeX-live - latest ConTeXt - latest pdfTeX - latest MetaPost See also http://wiki.contextgarden.net/TeX-live Tested on SuSE-10.1. there is a new texlive rpm on http://pmrb.free.fr/texlive/ - easy installation: rpmbuild --rebuild --force http://pmrb.free.fr/texlive/texlive.spm
Here rpm segfaults using that rebuild command (using rpm 4.4.1 on Ubuntu/i386). I tried to compile the latest version of rpm from source, in order to check whether the bug had been fixed, but couldn't get the recompilation to work. So I never managed to try your rpm package. Hello Sanjoy, I've never had such a problem, but my rpm versions are much older... What happens, if you do cd /tmp wget http://pmrb.free.fr/texlive/texlive.nosrc.rpm rpmbuild --rebuild --force /tmp/texlive.nosrc.rpm ? Or yet another possibility: cd /tmp wget http://pmrb.free.fr/texlive/texlive.nosrc.rpm rpm -i /tmp/texlive.nosrc.rpm rpmbuild -bb --force /usr/src/packages/SPECS/texlive.spec
