I want to identify and use a very basic kind of font, Times Roman. I have been plowing though all the fonts in context-minimal but I don't find a tfm file to meet my need, not ptm, not utm, not nimbus. The 8r-base.map lists several good candidates but they are not in the minimals distro AFAICT. do I need to copy them over (pfb afm and tfm) from my texlive distro? Or have the names been changed in some esoteric way? -- John Culleton Wexford Press "Create Book Covers with Scribus" Printable E-book 38 pages $5.95 http://www.scribd.com/doc/24676863/ http://www.booklocker.com/books/4055.html

ConTeXt minimals come with TeX Gyre fonts that provide a Times clone called Termes. If you are using the ConTeXt method of loading fonts, then you do not have to change anything. In MkII \usetypescript[times][texnansi]ext \input knuth \stoptext \setupbodyfont[times] \starttext \input knuth \stoptext gives you TeXGyre Termes. Aditya
