I renamed the first one into "cv.tex" and the second one into "moderncv.tex". When i run texexec cv.tex, i’ve got this message :

Change in moderncv.tex \define[2]\cvcompactentry {{\margintext{#1} #2 \par}} to \define[2]\cvcompactentry {\margintext{#1} #2 \endgraf} This isn't the only problem when you use the code with mkii, the author wrote it for mkiv and used the marvosym font in a way which doesn't work with pdftex.
