That should be the default if you manage to make the new ruby variant of texexec to work.

This is already the default value (and has been so for quite some time already), so you don't need to set it to the same value again.

I'm sorry. I sent a few messages off-list to Hans and forgot to mention that on the list. The problem has been solved, you probably only have to wait for a new release. If you want to have it properly right away, you have to change \startregime[iso-8859-1] in regi-8859-1.tex into \startregime[8859-1] (and define a new synonym in regi-syn.tex for those who will want to use \enableregime[iso-8859-1]).
