After reading the mfonts manual, I still don't know how to install
lbr math tfms. So far, I've:
1. Dumped all 41 of the lucida fonts (both .pfb and .afm files) in
the directory c:\temp. A listing of the .pfb file follows:
lbc.pfb lbd.pfb lbdi.pfb lbdsc.pfb lbh.pfb lbi.pfb
lbki.pfb lbkr.pfb lbl.pfb lbma.pfb lbmad.pfb lbmd.pfb
lbmdi.pfb lbmdo.pfb lbme.pfb lbmi.pfb lbmo.pfb lbmr.pfb
lbms.pfb lbmsd.pfb lbr.pfb lbrsc.pfb lbsl.pfb lbtb.pfb
lbtbo.pfb lbto.pfb lbtr.pfb lfd.pfb lfdi.pfb lfi.pfb
lfr.pfb lsb.pfb lsbi.pfb lsd.pfb lsdi.pfb lsi.pfb
lsr.pfb lstb.pfb lstbo.pfb lsto.pfb lstr.pfb
41 File(s) 1,473,502 bytes
0 Dir(s) 22,042,120,192 bytes free
2. Ran the command from c:\temp
texfont type-buy.dat --fontroot=c:\Local\TeX\texmf-local
--en=texnansi --ve=bh --co=lucida --expert
3. Ran the generated testfile.
4. Finally I ran the following file:
%%--------------------------------------------------
\autoloadmapfilestrue
\setupencoding[default=texnansi]
\setupbodyfont[lbr]
\starttext
,,German`` ``English'' << French >> >>Swedish<<
\stoptext
%%--------------------------------------------------
This generated the following log file:

Please ignore my plea for help -- by playing around, I found out that all the original .TFM file names for lucida bright were in uppercase letters, and by converting them all to lowercase letters, I seemed to have fixed the problem.

i ran into something similar yesterday with another font, especially when a font comes from a iso9660 cdrom (all uppercase names) you need to watch out for this kind of things Hans ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hans Hagen | PRAGMA ADE | pragma@wxs.nl Ridderstraat 27 | 8061 GH Hasselt | The Netherlands tel: +31 (0)38 477 53 69 | fax: +31 (0)38 477 53 74 | www.pragma-ade.com ------------------------------------------------------------------------- information: http://www.pragma-ade.com/roadmap.pdf documentation: http://www.pragma-ade.com/showcase.pdf -------------------------------------------------------------------------
