command to get the text value?
Dear list, sorry for writing again on the same topic. The issue is important and I don’t know how to solve it. I have a different sample: \def\firstcommand{AAA} \def\secondcommand{aaa} \starttext \doifelse{\word{\firstcommand}} {\secondcommand}{Equal}{Not equal}. \stoptext I understand that A and a are different characters. Is there no command to get the pure text from another command? Or how could I get equal values in the sample above? Many thanks for your help, Pablo -- http://www.ousia.tk

if really needed i can write such a comparison but keep in mind that \word is not some simple string manipulator so you can never rely on such a comparison Hans ----------------------------------------------------------------- Hans Hagen | PRAGMA ADE Ridderstraat 27 | 8061 GH Hasselt | The Netherlands tel: 038 477 53 69 | voip: 087 875 68 74 | www.pragma-ade.com | www.pragma-pod.nl -----------------------------------------------------------------
