printing visible space in \tex

I’m afraid it doesn’t work this with option=TEX and "\ a": \setuptype [space=on,option=TEX] \setuptyping[space=on,option=TEX] \starttext \type{\ y} \starttyping \ y \stoptyping \stoptext I actually need backslash plus space character.
