Hallo! What have I to do ,to use the EC-Fonts (from J. Knappen). I always get CM, even if I use ec-encoding. Grüße, Wolfgang

Hi,
\usetypescript[aer] (top of file)
I have not tested this, but if it does what it sounds like, it switchtes to cmr in an ec-like encoding, not to the ec-fonts by Jörg Knappen. ...strange... could you explain why there are two sections \starttypescript [all] [computer-modern] [ec] in type-enc.tex, one (for example) with \definefontsynonym [cmr10] [aer10] [encoding=ec,handling=glm] and one with \definefontsynonym [cmr10] [ecrm1000] [encoding=ec] which one gets used when using \usetypescript [serif, sans, mono, math] [computer-modern] [default, name, size,ec] (what the aer typescript does)? hm, better wait for the new lm fonts (on ctan in a couple of weeks), real ec non virtual type ones Hans ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hans Hagen | PRAGMA ADE | pragma@wxs.nl Ridderstraat 27 | 8061 GH Hasselt | The Netherlands tel: +31 (0)38 477 53 69 | fax: +31 (0)38 477 53 74 | www.pragma-ade.com ------------------------------------------------------------------------- information: http://www.pragma-ade.com/roadmap.pdf documentation: http://www.pragma-ade.com/showcase.pdf -------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hi again, besides waiting for lmr, I'd like to know about typescripts and fonts... both of those are in a typescript [all] [computer-modern] [ec]:
\definefontsynonym [cmr10] [aer10] [encoding=ec,handling=glm]
\definefontsynonym [cmr10] [ecrm1000] [encoding=ec]
and both typescripts will be selected when using:
\usetypescript [serif,sans,mono,math] [computer-modern] [default,name,size,ec]
but when does the cmr10 map to aer10 and when does it map to ecrm1000 ? What is this handling=glm? Patrick
