Thanks a lot! This is the clue I needed. At least I am able to typeset the landscape pages and can have following pages in portrait again!

This example will float the table to the centre of the page, if you'd like to anchor the float to the bottom of the page, you make have to get out the \frame{} toolkit.
How do I setup a correct switching [for this type of structure]?
