I have installed the standalone and it works well on my Xubuntu system. I tried to run texi2pdf, which not a part of the standalone system, but fails due to: "...don't have any working TeX binary installed.." If the standalone has one I will add its path to my PATH and the texi2pdf should work. I'm trying to avoid installing a full TeXLive distribution on this old limited memory machine. Any advice would help. Thenks
