Hyphenation in German
Hi there, I always use \mainlanguage [de] But still, many breakings and stretches are ugly, because context does not know how to hyphenate a word. Of course I can add \- to help, but is there a way to add a bigger list of german words (like DUDEN has) or something like that, not not have to add \- all the time? Huseyin

You can add your own list with hyphenation patterns with \startexceptions[de] Trenn-fuge Binde-strich … \stopexceptions To break words at “-” and "/” signs add \setbreakpoints[compound] to your document. Wolfgang
