I've compiled your src on my tree and the main difference is at this place:

Seems my tree is not representative (too messy). Just tested your src on ConTeXt live (thanx Patrick for making it work again) and the described lines are also not visible. So you should compare the log from ConTeXt live with your own. Peter

The mpost call is completely missing in your example.

If I have seen it right, you use pdftex 1.40 with TeXLive2005. Are your binaries (especially texmfstart) uptodate? You can also test the today's version of ConTeXt.
