Unicode input problem
Hello, I 'm trying to use the t-greek module to write ancient greek in ConTeXt, giving the text in unicode (with greek characters). With the default font (Ibycus I think), when the input is in greek characters, iota subscript doesn't appear in the result pdf, or it gets garbled with the other letters. In contrary, with the same font, when the input is in the Babel way (in latin characters; iota subscript as '|'), the character with the iota subcript appears ok in the pdf. With other fonts of the module this problem doesn't appear. As Ibycus font is, as I noticed, one of the best fonts of the module, I would appreciate your help on resolving this font issue. Hi, I just had a look at the issue. Unfortunately, this cannot be resolved at the moment: Ibycus is a non-Unicode font; it does not contain the characters with the iota subscriptum. It just contains the iota subscriptum itself, it is then set underneath the character via the ligature mechanism. If you write your source in utf, ConTeXt expects the glyph to be really there, not just composed by this kind of trickery. So I'm afraid you will have to decide: either use Unicode in your source => no Ibycus; or use Ibycus => your source has to be in Babel. I hope one of the other fonts (especially the GFS ones) will do for you. Sorry for the inconvenience, and thanks for your precise description of the problem; I will have to include a hint about it in the documentation (it might occur with other fonts, too).
