Have you tried replacing \placepublications[criterium=local] with \placepublications[criterium=cite]? This seems to work here.

No, I had not thought of that because I do not cite anything. But yes, it does work! Thank you very much. There is still another problem related to the input of the .bbl-file but I may come back to that later after some more trials. Kind regards, Robert
