Try this minimal, complete example: \usetypescript [modern][\defaultencoding] \usetypescript [map] [latin-modern-os] [\defaultencoding] \setupbodyfont[modern] \starttext hello world 123 \ss 456 world hello \rmit hello world 789 \stoptext Do you have a recent ConTeXt?
