I have not tested this, but if it does what it sounds like, it switchtes to cmr in an ec-like encoding, not to the ec-fonts by Jörg Knappen.
hm, better wait for the new lm fonts (on ctan in a couple of weeks), real ec non virtual type ones

Does this mean, that in the moment there is no way to access the ec-fonts in context? :-( Wolfgang
