After trying everything else I finally added the line as you suggested. Thanks very very much! I don't know why and I don't care but it worked. Thanks again, Charlie

Dear all,
I made a poster about two months ago. Today I cloned it to make a different one. I am using MacTex 2008 distribution and XeConTeXt . I am using fonts such as Hoefler, Gentium, Junicode etc. The original file and the new one stick at the console readout below. I uninstalled 2008 distribution completely and reinstalled but I get the same result. The files give me pdf output if I use just ConTeXt but of course I do not get the fonts.
I would be most grateful if anyone could offer advice.
Thanks in advance, Charlie Doherty
Try setting
MKTEXTFM = 0
in your texmf.cnf.
