You may add \dontleavehmode at the right place as in the following:

             width=4cm]

\margintext{\hairline\\{Me}}\dontleavehmode\hairline
\startformula

\margintext{\blackrule[color=black, height=0.5ex, width=1cm]\\Me}

BTW, it isn’t also clear to me whether the formula is part of your
document or not.
