Dear Taco, Thank you very much for your reply. I get ? when I use the above. But I just chanced mathmode {\em H\k{o}f$\eth$i} / {\em H\k{o}f$\eth$a}, and I get This is not quite the character shown in the Palatino examples in Hans's Fonts in ConTeXt pp 17 ff. number 240 in the bottom left of the font table but I can get by with that. If you think of another way I would be grateful.
