Ah, thank you! (Wolfgang too!) I can’t remember why I chose "file", and looking at the source also doesn’t enlighten me. \setuptyping[numbering=file] sets \setuplinenumbering[method=file], but the "file" method doesn’t seem to be defined (at least it’s missing in the syntax interface). Can you explain? Hraban
