You have created a new cont-en.fmt you say, but is not used:

ConTeXt ver: 2004.11.23 fmt: 2005.3.13 int: english mes: english

And that's the problem. You now have two cont-en format files on your disk, and the new one is ignored. (probably because texexec has put it in a location that is not searched or searched later than the old format). Good luck, Taco
