just some general advice on mailing lists: use the “reply”
function of your user agent to reply. This will preserve the
context for each message and allows to render them as threads as
in http://www.ntg.nl/pipermail/ntg-context/2012/thread.html.

I was referring to the command line option. If you run context --silent my_document.tex most command line output will be suppressed, thus depending on your setup there’s a chance you won’t have to scroll up the terminal window in order to read the words per line statistics.
