You don't need that. There is already a standard interface for color and style configuration. Example: \setupstartstop[CSnippetComment][color=blue] So you can simplify t-pretty-c.mkiv: \unprotect \setupcolor[ema] \definestartstop [CSnippetName] [\c!color=darkgoldenrod, \c!style=] and so on...
