But this disturbs the alignment:
\midaligned{% \bTABLE … \eTABLE}
When the footnotemarker is "wide" (for example 888), then the table gets shifted away from the middle!
\setupindenting[no] was missing. Without the footnote it was centered. With a footnote used in the table an indent for the entire table was set. Hm. Steffen
