Many thanks for your reply, Thomas. I read xml-mkiv.pdf four or five times, but I must confess that it is all Greek to me. And chapter 7 is especially cryptic to me, In fact, I tried \xmlattribute {#1} {../div} {id} before and it didn’t worked. Now I don’t understand why.
