I have no idea. An explicit \page\hbox{}\page 'fixes' this particular file, but that is not a proper solution. Maybe it is because it is a split footnote?
Yes maybe... Right now this is not a usable situation. But it should be at least a feature request for MkIV: When setuphead is defined with "page=yes" there shall NO footnote be written from a chapter/section before! Never. Not even a split note. Steffen
