no, it's a ruby issue (mkii related) switching to mkiv solves the problem

Now, I’ve upgraded to Mavericks. No way to use ConTeXt. I’ve also installed texlive 2013 and I installed the available updates. But still my ConTeXt is broken (I’m typesetting from TeXShop via GUI menu). I always get this:

I can understand it has something to do with ruby but nothing else.
