Nice application of variants. However, it has to be pointed out that the fake smallcaps with \tt will be "dangerous" for some applications: the .8 scaling loses the monospacing in the \tt font.
Clever remark Adam. Thank you I did not realize that. Small note is add to the Garden. Alternative: It might be applied to the non-monospaced typewriter variant. vit
