I've been wrapping the text in \begingroup..\endgroup and changing the
bodyfont inside it. For example, to make slightly bigger titles (by
12%) than is possible with just \bfd:
\setuphead[title][style={\ss\bfd},
before={\begingroup\setupbodyfont[14.4pt]},
after={\bigskip\bigskip\endgroup}]
why not
\setuphead
[title]
[style=\ss\bfd,
before={\switchtobodyfont[14.4pt]},
after={\switchtobodyfont[global]}]
