      Hmm, the new version now doesn't compile if I have "` in my file:

! Undefined control sequence.
\@cc@"` ->{\handlequotation
                             \c!leftquotation }
\next ->\getvalue {\@cc@ \string "\string `}
                                             W
l.45 "`W

Subtle way of making people use \quotation{}?
