Hi List, ConTeXt is running well after a fresh install. (context version: 2022.03.12 17:56, I didn’t even need to mess with permissions.) I don’t know why the usual update procedure failed for me before. I look forward to checking out the new math spacing with Libertinus. Sorry for the noise, and thanks to everyone who offered me help.
