within (I assume a blank line was used instead). The box where the command is defined specifies the \par argument which isn't obvious to see because there is a mistake (\description appears instead of \definition which can be confusing).
this is because \definition is defined with \definedescription: \definedescription [mycoolestthings] would give you a command \mycoolestthings. This, of course, results to {\it \description} used in the box. It is not the control sequence \description, but a control sequence that is a description.
