On the Mac, if you are using an 'English' keyboard, you can hold down any letter for half a second or so and see a popup selection of alternate accented versions of that letter. Not all text editors / word processors support it but TeXShop does. No need for cut & paste templates. — Bruce Horrocks Hampshire, UK
