The company that is printing my book requires format PDF/X-1a:2001.  The file produced by LuaTex is PDF 1.5.

Context should be able to produce PDF/X-1a:2003 so far (donno the difference to the 2001 version). I will look into it tomorrow (no time now). To give you a first impression what is needed (data,formats), I attached a test file (mkiv only) for the 2003 variant.
