you can use the second optional argument of \in to give a suffix for the float number.

\stopcontent
\startcaption
a
\stopcaption
\startcontent

\stopcaption
\stopcombination
\stopplacefigure
The \in{figure}{a}[fig:test] shows a dutch cow.
