It will not interfere if you uncheck "Set env. vars globally option" during installation. Then, it's safe. Vyatcheslav
I think the GUI installer is writing in the register and this could interfere with the normal MikTeX/(La)TeX/TeXnicCenter system. If I understood well when I was at EuroTeX.
I'll have another look.
