Dear Hans, I'm afraid that there is a bug in compressed linenotes that prevents to have the line ranges to be properly numbered. Here you have a sample: \setupnotation[linenote][compress=yes] \starttext \startlinenumbering \linenote{Without this note, line numbering from ranges is right}\startlinenote[one]{This should have lines 1 to 3.}line one\\ line two\\ line three\stoplinenote[one] \stoplinenumbering \stoptext It happens when compressed linenotes are enabled and there is a linenote before the \startlinenote. In that case, only the first line is numbered, not the last. Could you fix that? Many thanks for your help, Pablo -- http://www.ousia.tk
