If you open the result (from below) in Acrobat, the outline of bookmark appears and you can go to the page by clicking on a section. In Preview (from 10.3), the bookmarks appear, but aren't clickable. Other PDFs (like <http://developer.apple.com/documentation/Printing/Conceptual/ PDF_Workflow/PDF_Workflow.pdf>) show the bookmarks, and make them clickable as well.
Hi Adam, Actually I tried the file with a slight modification (see below) and I don't see, regarding the clickability of the resulting pdf file, any difference between what happens in Acrobat 6 and Preview.app (version 2.1.0): the bookmarks obtained from "\placelist[chapter,section]" are clickable in both applications. (However I don't see where and how the commands "\placebookmarks[chapter,section]" and "\setupinteraction[..." acts on the pdf file... I mean the result is the same with or without those two lines, see below). Best regards: OK %% here is the modified test file you sent me \setuplist [chapter, section] [alternative=a, interaction=all, before=, after=] \setupinteraction[state=start] \placebookmarks[chapter,section,subsection] % if commented out, nothing changes \setupinteractionscreen[option=bookmark] % if commented out, nothing changes \starttext \placelist[chapter,section] \chapter{La} \chapter{Lo} \section{Li} \chapter{Lu} Keats takes Kate's skate. \stoptext
