This variant: \useMPlibrary [dum] \starttext foo \figuresymbol[] bar foo \figuresymbol[][height=1cm,depth=\strutdepth] bar foo \figuresymbol[][height=3ex,depth=2ex] bar \stoptext gives the lines proepr dimensions.
