I suppose that it is fine that Dante is a member of that association. We will lift on their possibilities to fetch info and being involved with it. I think, that the ConTeXt group as such has little to profit from a membership… Best wishes Willi

DANTE just became a partner organization of PDF association, see message below. Wouldn’t it make sense for our group (and NTG and TUG etc.) to do the same?

I suppose that Dante, the largest tex user group being around, being a member of that group means that the rest of the user groups can save themselves the trouble and money ...

The website says: "Non-profit organizations can become members without charge as Partner Organizations."

So maybe the ConTeXt Group could indeed apply for membership?

If we would have to pay the fee, there is no way we could afford it anyway.
