Does this mean that the hyphenation patterns are not loaded (although present in the cont-tmf.zip)?
Not by itself. Further down in the log file, you should see something like this: system : cont-fmt loaded (./cont-fmt.tex) language : patterns en for en loaded (n=1,e=ec,m=ec) (/opt/tex/texmf-local/tex/context/patterns/lang-us.pat) language : hyphenations en for en loaded (n=1,e=ec,m=ec) (/opt/tex/texmf-local/tex/context/patterns/lang-us.hyp) language : patterns uk for uk loaded (n=2,e=ec,m=ec) (/opt/tex/texmf-local/tex/context/patterns/lang-uk.pat) ... It would be nicer if the earlier message was more like this: language : patterns for nl postponed language : patterns for fr postponed .. because that is what really is going on. Best, Taco
