You are running pdftex, 'cause it worked fine in mkiv :-)

\def\Colorit%
   {\groupedcommand{\color[red]\em\penalty10000\hskip0pt }\/}

The penalty and skip are needed because the \color generates
a node that prevents the next word from hyphenating.
