Hi, there was an earlier issue with \underbar{b} http://archive.contextgarden.net/message/20091109.094902.baf77ffc.en.html which seems somewhat related to my problem. When providing only one character as argument to \underbar or \overbar and a following space (or paragraph ending) the line is also under/over that space. Is this intended? Example: \starttext \underbar{b} \overbar{b} \underbar{b} $\underbar{b} = \overbar{b} = \underbar{b}$ \stoptext A fix for this would be to use \underbars{b} or \overbars{b} instead, btw. Best wishes, Stefan
