I had already written to Dick Koch before the first replies arrived. He wrote that I could simply use Lua(La)TeX. So it works with Lua(La)TeX. A self-created lua.engine works and your ConTeXt solution with --runner=mtxrun in the first line works as well.

you can try this with

-- runner=mtxrun

as first line in your lua file
