[NTG-context] bug: MetaFun doesn't speak French

      Hello Hans,

here's a little MetaFun snippet which fails to work because of special
treatment of French characters:

\useencoding[ffr]
\mainlanguage[fr]

\startMPcode
fill fullcircle scaled 5cm;
\stopMPcode

\stoptext
...
...
(0,0,5cm.directdiscretionary,0,0,5cm.directdiscretionary)
! Transform components aren't all known.
<to be read again>
                   {

                                                  ;}
?
I assume that it worked OK some time ago (I was trying to compile a
document from 2002).
