Well, there's some info around on the web that you may want to have a look at: http://home.salamander.com/~wmcclain/context-help.html#selectfont- typescript (a bit dated, but still correct and very useful) http://www.tug.org/pracjourn/2006-1/wierda/wierda.pdf (have a look at section 6, that should be of interest) this may get you started.
